How soon after having my baby can I restart exercise?
When you doctor signs you off; normally around six weeks for uncomplicated births, longer for c-sections.

Do I need any specialist clothing/equipment? No. Trainers and comfortable joggers/t-shirt will be fine. Dress for the weather. Wearing two sports bras may be most comfortable if you are blessed with a bigger bust.

What if it rains? Mummy Fit is an all-weather experience. As long as the weather isn’t treacherous (thunder/lightning/ice), Sam will be waiting for you as usual at the Hove Park Café, 10.30am.

I’m not feeling very fit- will it be hard? The classes are suitable for all fitness levels. If you’ve just had your baby or not exercised since leaving school, you can start with our basic options and increase as your confidence and ability improves over the weeks. If you are very fit, there will be plenty to challenge you too!

What if my baby cries? Most babies will take their turn! You can stop at any time to see to your baby. Try to feed your baby before the class but honestly nobody will be upset if your baby is feeling grizzly. The movement is normally soothing.

Can I bring my toddler? Your call. If your toddler is happy to stay in their buggy for 45 minutes, perhaps with a few snacks then go for it. Their extra weight will be great for your work out!
